International Precious Metals Institute Awards for CCI Staff

Two members of the School of Chemistry based in the Cardiff Catalysis Institute have been awarded prizes from the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) based in the US. Dr Jennifer Edwards, has been awarded the IPMI Carol Tyler Award, which recognizes the achievement of a woman in the field of precious metals be it industry or academia. Professor Graham Hutchings has been awarded the IPMI Henry J. Albert Award. This prestigious award, sponsored by BASF Corporation, recognizes and encourages outstanding theoretical and experimental contributions to the science and technology of precious metals. Both have been recognised for their work involving gold and gold palladium alloys as catalysts.
