Professor Rudolf Allemann interview

5 August 2010

Professor Rudolf Allemann was interviewed by Adam Walton of BBC Radio Wales to discuss his group's work on the use of nature's enzymes in pest control. This work, funded by a BBSRC grant in excess of £1million, is a collaboration between Cardiff University and the BBSRC's Rothamstead Research in Hertfordshire. This novel use of sesquiterpenes as chemical signalling agents could also lead to future improvements in anti-cancer and anit-malaria drugs.
