Research Interests
My research is principally concerned with transition metal complexes of ligands containing selenium and/or tellurium. Current projects include the preparation and photochemistry of phosphorescent palladium and platinum complexes, and the development of ferrocene-based ligands for use in electrochemical sensors. In collaboration with colleagues in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences, we are also investigating the chemical basis and consequences of water repellency in soils.
