Now in its 19th year, the annual Cardiff Chemistry Conference is a forum for leading scientists from across the world to present the results of their ground-breaking research.
Showcasing the latest developments in Chemistry
Lectures will cover the full spectrum of Chemistry as well as the interfaces between Chemistry and other scientific disciplines. Previously, invited speakers have included, Nobel Laureates in Chemistry and a host of eminent scientists, reflecting the very high calibre of speakers who have supported this event. This year is no exception.
The invited speakers for the Cardiff Chemistry Conference 2020 include:
- Professor Thorsten Bach (TU Munich, Germany)
- Professor James Henderson Naismith, FRS (University of Oxford)
- Professor Ruth Signorell (ETH Zürich, Switzerland)
- Professor David Wales, FRS (University of Cambridge)
- Professor John Irvine (University of St Andrews)
The Cardiff Chemistry Conference will be held on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 May 2020 at the School of Chemistry, Cardiff University.
In addition to the lectures given by eminent scientists from outside Cardiff, the conference also includes lectures given by PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from the Cardiff School of Chemistry.
The unique format of this event allows young scientists at the very early stages of their research careers to share the same platform as senior scientists from the world of Chemistry, giving the opportunity for some of our very best young researchers from the Cardiff School of Chemistry to showcase their exciting research achievements to an audience that includes international experts within their field.
