Dr Jennifer Edwards
Jenny graduated from Cardiff University with a BSc in Chemistry with biological Science in 2003. She followed this with a PhD in heterogeneous catalysts with Professor Graham Hutchings, FRS (Direct Synthesis of Hydrogen Peroxide using Catalysts containing Gold)
Following from her PhD Jenny has worked in the Cardiff Catalysis Institute as a PDRA on a number of research projects. In 2010 she was awarded a prestigious fellowship from the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science, and spent some time in the group of Professor Haruta at Tokyo Metropolitan University. She has published 3 patents and 41 papers, including 2 in Science.
In 2011 she received the Carol Tyler award from the International Precious Metal Institute which recognized her contributions to precious metal research. In 2013 she was awarded the Clara Immerwahr award from the German catalysis network UniCat. She is currently a senior research fellow in the Cardiff Catalysis Institute.
