Careers Fairs

Careers & Employability runs a number of fairs throughout the year. Fairs give you the opportunity to meet a wide range of employers and other organisations offering careers advice, information and support with student and graduate recruitment. These events are extremely useful in helping you explore your options and to decide who you may like to work for, by speaking face-to-face with recruitment and graduate training staff.


Open Days at Park Place

Work Experience Fair

Date: Tuesday 7 February 2012 
Venue: VJ Gallery, Main Building
Eligibility:All students, any year, any discipline

This niche event is your chance to find out more about work experience.

Venue: Great Hall, Students' Union


Spring Engineering & Technology Careers Fair

Date: Tuesday 14 February 2012 
Venue: Cardiff School of Engineering, Engin Forum
Eligibility: Aimed at students interested in a career in Engineering, Physics or IT, any year, any discipline.

This niche event offers you the opportunity to meet a range of organisations and engineering employers who will be promoting placement and graduate job opportunities.


Cardiff Graduate Careers Fair

Date: Tuesday 12 June 2012 
Venue: City Hall, Cardiff
Eligibility: Aimed at any discipline final year students and graduates of all institutions, though students of any year are welcome.

The Cardiff Graduate Recruitment Day brings together over 50 companies and organisations from a wide variety of backgrounds, who have graduate vacancies and opportunities.


Autumn Careers Fair

Date: October 2012 - date TBC
Venue: City Hall, Cardiff
Eligibility: All students, any year, any discipline.

The Autumn Careers Fair is a careers information day offering all current students and graduates and postgraduates careers information, advice and guidance from over 50 organisations, promoting an exciting range of careers spanning a variety of sectors and industries. From Engineering to Media and Accountancy to Academic Research there’s lots of ideas, hints and tips to pick up at this one-day event.


Cardiff Business Careers Event

Date: October 2012 - date TBC
Venue: Aberconway Building, Cardiff Business School
Eligibility: Aimed at students interested in a career in Business, Finance and/or Accountancy. Any year, any discipline welcome.

This 2 day event offers you a unique chance to talk on a one-to-one basis with experts about the kind of opportunities open to you in business and finance and how you can get your foot in the door.

Venue: City Hall, Cardiff
Eligibility: All students interested in a career in law, any year, any
discipline – all welcome.

Cardiff Law Fair brings together a wide range of law firms and legally-related organisations, both local and international.

It is a prime opportunity for anyone contemplating a career in the legal field to talk to practitioners about their daily work, the recruitment processes and the need for all-important work experience.


Cardiff Science Careers Fair

Eligibility: Aimed at Bioscience and Chemistry students interested in a career in Science.
