CITER Soc Annual Scientific Workshop: "Lessons from Nature" - Bugs, Worms and Leaves

This scientific workshop is open to members of Cardiff Institute of Tissue Engineering and Repair (CITER) and is being organised by postgraduate members from the CITER Soc.
It is aimed at sixth form students and its theme is around taking inspiration from nature for modern medicine. Topics include tissue engineering in medicine and other novel therapeutic strategies. The areas chosen have been selected for their current scientific interest and relevance to the current school curriculum encompassing aspects of Biology, Chemistry, BTEC Science and Welsh Baccalaureate.
This is a unique opportunity to attend a scientific workshop with talks given by leaders in novel areas of cutting edge science.

CITER Research Committee: Imaging Workshop
Date: 8 January 2018
Location: Hadyn Ellis Building, Maindy Road, Cardiff
This full-day, interdisciplinary Cardiff University workshop is being organised by CITER (Cardiff Institute for Tissue Engineering and Repair) to showcase the world-class research facilities and projects at Cardiff University involved with the imaging of cells, tissues and humans. Talks will include colleagues from each research facility illustrated with examples of the research that has been carried out within each.
There will also be a competition on the day for the best research image, with a £100 prize. Please contact email@example.com to let us know you are entering. Please email your image as an A3 poster (colour or B/W) which CITER will print on your behalf and include a brief overview of the image, instrumentation used and date acquired. Entrants will be judged on the scientific challenge and aesthetic appeal (judged by workshop delegates on the day).
Entry is open to CITER members (academics, MSc students, PhD students, Post-doctorate / research associates), but not imaging facility managers.
