Analytical Unit

Introduction
The school’s analytical facility is now located in a recently refurbished area of BIOSI 1.
It consists of eight laboratories on the first floor of the main building. They are dedicated to LC/LC-MS, HPLC, GC/GC-MS, GC-EAD, AAS, Fluorescence Spectrofluorimetry and sample preparation
It is managed by Dr. Carsten Müller and Mr. Michael O’Reilly.
This page is intended as a guide to the facilities and services currently available.
Equipment and services
The analytical unit contains a wide range of analytical equipment, which allows analysis of an equally wide range of targets.
The following headings/links describe the major pieces of equipment and give examples of current and/or potential use. The list of analytes under each heading is only for illustration and by no means comprehensive. We are happy to discuss any analytical problem or idea.
