Miss Eleanor Fraya Kean

I graduated from Chester College (then a college of Liverpool University now Chester University) in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour. After graduating I worked in the Conservation and Research Department of Chester Zoo on a variety of projects including elephant welfare, harvest mouse reintroduction and dormouse monitoring as well as organising other research conducted at the zoo.

I then had short contracts with an ecological consultancy and at Chester University working on a project communicating scientific research on horse welfare to non scientific audiences. I conducted field work for Chester Zoo on the Philippine cockatoo and was made an Honorary Research Associate of Chester Zoo for 2007.

Between 2006 and 2008 I was employed by Cheshire Wildlife Trust, initially conducting otter surveys, including work with camera traps and later working on the Local Wildlife Sites system.
