Project Team
The Assessment Matters project is managed by the Registry and Academic Services Division. The Project Manager is Andy Lloyd and the Project Officer is Marina John. Claire Morgan (Cardiff Business School) is currently working one-day a week on the project.
The Project is supported by a Steering Group, Chaired by Prof. Patricia Price (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Student Experience and Academic Standards), and by a Policy Development Group chaired by Prof. Stephen Denyer (School of Pharmacy).
Work to ensure effective implementation of the outcomes from the project is also being undertaken across Registry and Academic Services.
The Project aims to benefit students, staff, and the University as a whole.
For students – it will make things clearer and more transparent, and ensure that assessment will be managed in the same ways regardless of their home school.
For staff – it will provide a clear, institution-wide framework through which assessment will be managed and help towards reducing administrative workload.
For the University – it will help ensure that quality and standards are enhanced, reduce the risks inherent in varied practice, and help manage this are in a more efficient and effective way.
