The pages in this section contain questions that have been raised by schools and divisional staff from across the university at the demonstrations, training and briefings held from July - November 2009. 

Q. When will I be able to access Oracle?
A. Oracle will be live on 1st December 2009 but will be made available to users in a controlled way throughout the day. This will allow the project team to ensure that the system is fully set up for each School / Directorate and is ready to be rolled out. It will also prevent lots of users all logging on at the same time. The rollout plan is that FINCE and RACDV will be first, followed by INSRV and CSERV and then each School / Division will be rolled out cluster by cluster. Please do not contact insrvConnect until you have been notified that you can access the system.

Q. How do I access Oracle?
A. Users will be notified of the URL to access Oracle along with their user names and passwords on the day of go live. INSRV have arranged for Oracle user PCs to be set up to access Oracle and also so that they have the correct version of Java installed. When logging in for the first time users will be asked to change their password. In the email giving users their username and password there will also be a list of hints and tips and things to do when first accessing the system.
