Research Assistant

You will work with the Principal Investigators at Cardiff University and other research partners on a project funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) on the health impacts of meeting housing quality standards. The work involves the validation of the revised neighbourhood environment assessment tool (r-REAT) and assisting in conducting statistical analysis and report writing.

You will contribute to research within specialist area, carrying out supporting work that helps lead to the publishing of research in high-quality journals. To pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same.

The aim of Ser Cymru is to investigate the integration of Plants and Architecture.We are looking for an Architectural Scientist/Building Physicist to work with the above programme. The work will be carried out in collaboration with Aberystwyth University and Bangor University.

Robotic Arm

PhD level research opportunity

Dr. Wassim Jabi, Senior Lecturer at the Welsh School of Architecture has recently secured a grant to purchase a Kuka KR60 HA (High Accuracy) robot to investigate advanced manufacturing techniques in architecture. He is also collaborating with a large international design firm and a large cement manufacturer on a research proposal to study the potential of robotic manufacturing methods in architecture.
