Dr Victoria Johnson is a Research Associate in the Low Carbon Research Institute of Wales, based at the Welsh School of Architecture. Victoria works with Professor Peter Pearson on the EPSRC funded, 9-member research consortium Realising Transition Pathways. The aim of the project is to develop new insights that inform thinking and decisions about future energy pathways. Her research specifically focusses on examining historical transitions in electricity and other utilities.
Previously, Victoria led the Climate Change and Energy Programme at NEF (New Economics Foundation) for six years. At NEF she worked on a number of different projects that explored interactions between climate change, energy policy and social justice both in the UK and internationally.
Victoria has a BSc in Environmental Sciences, a MSc (awarded with distinction) in Climate Change, both from the University of East Anglia, and a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from Imperial College, London.
