Evaluation of domestic energy efficiency scheme in Wales

Name: Jo Patterson

The aim of this project was to evaluate a scheme that has involved a significant financial investment in energy efficiency measures on a regional scale. The report produced provides an evaluation of the installation of energy efficiency measures in the housing stock in Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and the impact the scheme has had on the area and nation as a whole environmentally, socially and economically.

Over £10 million investment in upgrading the existing housing stock of the Borough to make it more energy efficient. The performance of the Scheme has been measured against wide range of outcomes and provides evidence to support legislation and investment in future installation of energy efficiency measures on a regional scale. The report can assist Local Authorities in Wales and the rest of the UK, the Welsh Assembly Government and the wider population to understand the impact of such investment and ways of approaching such a scheme.
