Research Interests
I am an environmental psychologist interested in the topics of environmental attitudes and behaviour, environmental risk perception, and environmental health. My research has mainly focused upon how people respond to environmental and technological risks. My wider research interests are in how the social and physical environment influences people's health, well-being and quality of life. I have become particularly interested in multilevel modelling and its application social and environmental epidemiology. My latest research is on the role of social capital and cohesion in community resilience and wellbeing, perceptions of indoor air quality (including radon and EMFs); housing and health, and the clustering of lifestyle risk factors.
