Welsh School of Architecture awarded British Council funding for UK-US New Partnerships

The Welsh School of Architecture has been successful in a bid to the British Council's 'A Meeting of Minds: UK-US new Partnerships' initiative which will fund several new partnerships with UK-US institutions and establish new opportunities for research and teaching Initiatives as well as staff and student exchanges. Throughout 2011, the Welsh School of Architecture will collaborate with four USA partners; Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Carnegie-Mellon University, and the School of the Art Institute, Chicago, on a program focused on Post-Industrial Transformations. Staff and student exchanges and workshops, and a symposium, will study post industrial urban and rural landscapes in Wales and the USA, and explore their potential for environmental and cultural regeneration.
