Dr Vicki Stevenson (WSA) representing WISE Wales and Dr Fiona Wyllie representing Cardiff University School of Biosciences Careers Wales Award

Careers Wales Cardiff and Vale held their "Most Valued Partner Awards 2009-2010" on 4th March 2010. Dr Vicki Stevenson (WSA) was delighted to accept an "EBP Award for Curriculum Support" on behalf of WISE Wales (Women into Science, Engineering and Construction). The award recognised the support of WISE Wales for the Cardiff and Vale Discover! club - a Saturday science club for female school students. The Discover! club has received fantastic support from Cardiff University schools including Architecture, Biosciences, BRASS, Engineering and Physics. It has also enjoyed industrial support from RWE nPower, Cowlin Construction Ltd and British Airways Maintenance Centre. The success of the club in helping female school students to explore technical topics and career options has led WISE and Careers Wales to replicate the Discover! club in Gwent and Swansea.

Dr Fiona Wyllie was also present to receive an EBP Award for Curriculum Support on behalf of Cardiff University School of Biosciences for work which has included contributing to the Cardiff and Vale Discover! club.
