The Architecture Library is located within the Welsh School of Architecture and is one of fifteen University libraries. Its location is exceptional amongst British schools of architecture, in that its collection of books, journals, reference and technical literature and audio-visual material is directly accessible to students and staff of the School. In addition to these resources it holds a rare books collection and provides access to a wide range of, databases and electronic journals.

The Subject Librarian for Architecture, Sarah Nicholas, will assist with your subject enquiries.

As registered borrowers, students are entitled to use all University libraries. The Library Catalogue, provides information about collections in all Cardiff University Libraries.

Opening Times

Library opening hours during semester are:

08. 45 to 21.30 on weekdays
10.00 to 17.30 on Saturdays. (though maybe extended during times of peak demand)

During vacations the Library is open 08.45 to 17.00 on weekdays only.

The door to the Architecture Library is closed in the evenings, on Saturdays and on some advertised dates during vacations. At these times, access and issue is via the Bute Library.
