Carla De Laurentis is a research associate in the School of Architecture; she is currently working on the Retrofit 2050 project (RE-engineering the city 2020-2050: Urban Foresight and Transition Management )
Carla De Laurentis has been a researcher for Cardiff University since 2002. Carla brings extensive knowledge and expertise in innovation, policy and governance for local and regional economic development. Her own research interests span from innovation, energy policy, geography of transition, renewable energy, innovation platforms and clustering dynamics.
She recently completed a review of the regional innovation system of Wales in relation to green technology focussing on the renewable energy sub-sectors of wind, solar and biomass. Prior to join the School of Architecture Carla successfully completed three EU funded research projects, one ESRC sponsored research project, one evaluative study funded by the National Assembly for Wales and several consultancy based projects.
