PhD Research

This study aims to improve the thermal comfort conditions for occupants in Iranian hospitals. To achieve this aim the following objectives are followed in this research:
  • Establishing the different levels of thermal comfort condition required by different types of occupants.
  • Investigation of currently provided thermal comfort conditions for different types of occupants.
  • Studying the possibility of reconciling the different thermal comfort conditions required by different types of occupants.
  • Studying methods of achievement in the desired thermal comfort conditions for different occupants and reducing the reliance to the air conditioning systems, to present the optimized models of the studied hospitals.

Keywords: Thermal comfort; Occupants; Hospitals; Iran
