Accessibility

The Welsh School of Architecture endeavours to make our website as accessible as possible. We aim to construct our website to meet the standards laid out by the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C). The majority of this site is validated in both XHTML and CSS web standards. The website has also be robustly tested in many of the popular web browser applications currently being utilised on the internet today.

Accessibility is an extremely important issue for the Welsh School of Architecture and Cardiff University as a whole. The majority of our web pages have been validated successfully to W3C WCAG Priority 1 standards and we are constantly looking to develop our web pages to both priority 2 and priority 3 standards.

Below are some useful links to assist you with some of these issues:
There are certain pages that will not necessarily meet the exact requirements laid down by the W3C Consortium, however this is an issue we are dedicated to resolving and improving in the future.

The WSA website will constantly be updated and developed and accessibility will be at the forefront of this development. If you have any suggestions regarding our website then please feel free to contact us.

Easy browsing

The Welsh School of Architecture has aimed to achieve an improved user experience for this website. We want all our users to access information as efficiently and effectively as possible, using the least number of clicks to reach the intended destination. With this in mind, we have implemented a new and improved navigational system that allows users to access pages without using a click system initially. The rollover navigational system provides a full list of our main website pages that is driven by CSS coding which is compliant to W3C standards. Alternatively, we have also implemented a new collapsible panel for users whose main navigational instrument is the keyboard which is achievable through tabbed browsing.

Multimedia Integration
