High Performance Computing research seminar
13 January 2010
Date: 25th January 2010
Time: 16:00 - 18:00
Venue: Wallace Lecture Theatre, Main Building
ARCCA is pleased to announce the first in a series of informal seminars highlighting the variety of research being undertaken on both Merlin and Condor.
The aim is to showcase the portfolio of computational research being undertaken, providing a forum to share ideas and best practice, as well as fostering new ideas and collaborations. The sessions will also provide ARCCA with the opportunity to discuss service updates and gather feedback from the community to inform future service developments.
Each session will be around 2 hours with 3 or 4 presentations followed by refreshments and a light buffet. The provisional agenda for the first seminar includes presentations from:
Robbie Auld (Physics)
Dr Huw Davies (Earth and Ocean Sciences)
Matthew Roberts (Computer Science)
Everyone is welcome to attend - you don't have to be a user of the ARCCA services - but please RSVP to ARCCA by Wednesday 20th January so we can confirm catering arrangements.
