It also includes details of the exciting HPC (High Performance Computing) Wales project, which will establish the first High Performance Computing Hub for the all-Wales University supercomputing collaboration at Cardiff. HPC Wales will enable Welsh businesses to access some of the most advanced computer technology and research skills at Welsh Universities.
Prof Martyn Guest, Director of ARCCA, said: "The past year has seen a real growth in the ARCCA user community, and we now provide support to over 100 projects involving 360 researchers in 18 of the University's Academic Schools. ARCCA's services have developed in line with the changing needs and expectations of our user community, resulting in a varied portfolio of research support options.
"ARCCA continues to work in close partnership with our colleagues in Information Services," continued Prof Guest. "This partnership is crucial in delivering ARCCA's services, and in providing a joined-up support service for the whole University."
