Sir Keith Peters

MBBCh 1961

Sir Keith was the Regius Professor of Physic at the University of Cambridge from 1987 to 2005, where he was also head of the School of Clinical Medicine.

His research into immunological kidney disease was recognised by a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, a Fellowship of the Royal Society and Membership of the American Philosophical Society.

Professor Julie Williams, CBE

PhD 1987

Julie is Professor of Neuropsychiatric Genetics & Genomics at Cardiff University and a leading figure in Alzheimer’s research. TIME magazine placed her work among their top ten medical breakthroughs of 2009. She is the Chief Scientific Adviser for Wales and has served on the Medical Research Council Neuroscience and the Scientific Advisory Board of Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Dr Quentin D Sandifer

MPH 1995

Quentin is the Executive Director of Public Health Services and Medical Director for Public Health Wales.

He is Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London, Division of Infection and Population Health.

Quentin is also Wales’ Observer on Public Health England's Advisory Board.

Dr Alison Ng

Alison is a clinical research optometrist.

Her research findings have appeared in Eye and Contact Lens, the official peer-reviewed journal of the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists.

She also writes for ContactLensUpdate.com, a CCLR reference tool for eye care clinicians.

Dr John Rees

MBBCh 1984

John is a consultant radiographer at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and Clinical Director of the Wales Research and Diagnostic PET Imaging Centre. He is also the lead trainer of a nationally accredited nuclear medicine training programme for specialist registrars at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW), which he established in 1999.

Research scientist in the musculoskeletal and tissue engineering arenas.
