International activities

Almost 200,000 alumni across 150 countries - the Cardiff Alumni Network is a global connection of news, events and activities.

From Hong Kong to South Africa, New York to Sydney, our international alumni organise a range of events as part of their Chapter activities. You can get involved in a number of different ways.

Organise a reunion

If you are interested in organising a reunion for your class, please contact the Alumni Office and we can help you connect with classmates, offer venue and other event organisation advice, and promote your reunion to our alumni community through our website, social media and other electronic communications.

Launch a local chapter

If you are interested in launching an Alumni Chapter for your region, please contact the Alumni Office or read our guidance on International Chapter formation.

Become an international representative

Support the University's activities abroad by offering local support to our members of staff during international events. If you are interested in promoting the University in your home country contact the Alumni Office.

We can put you in touch with either your local Chapter or an University International Office representative for support during international visits to the country, social media promotion, ad-hoc event support, and partnership opportunities where possible.

Volunteer at educational fairs

We greatly appreciate the help of our international alumni who are able to support the University team at educational fairs. Some of our volunteers have even organised and overseen a Cardiff University stall at education fairs we have been unable to attend.

Get in touch to find out how you could help support us at a fair.

Global Opportunity Centre

The University's new Global Opportunity Centre is looking for alumni volunteers to help buddy with current students embarking on study, work and volunteering placements abroad.

If you'd like to share your local knowledge, top tourist tips, restaurant recommendations or any other hidden gems with students coming to your town, they would love to hear from you.  Find out more about the Global Opportunity Centre.
