Cardiff University’s exciting pilot scheme recruits existing Undergraduate Students to act as Voluntary Mentors, working with small groups of first year students, from within your academic school. You will be given full certified training and support.

As a Student Mentor you will be directly enhancing the learning experience of new students, developing their academic skills and helping with the transition to life at Cardiff University. In doing so you will develop your own skills, learn how to evidence employability skills and enhance your CV.

The closing date for all applications is Friday 15th March 2013 at 9am.

Workshops and Advice

Any student, any undergraduate degree, any academic query…

The Academic and Skills Development Centre provides non-judgemental advice on all academic queries, large or small. So if it’s referencing, essay writing, criticality or presentations skills, to name just a few, then this is the place for you. The Centre provides a relaxed impartial environment for students to develop essential skills, ask questions and discuss with peers. So whether you want to develop skills, gain clarification or learn how to improve your grades, there is something for everyone. If there isn’t, then please let us know.

Based within the Student Support Centre at 50 Park Place all undergraduate students are welcome to register their attendance at the workshops by emailing: skillscentre@cardiff.ac.uk .
