Events/Projects

Cardiff University's Widening Access Department team work alongside academic staff and students to provide a wide variety of activities which are designed to increase awareness of higher education and raise educational aspirations. Events and Projects range from providing mentors to local Secondary School pupils to running treasure hunts for Primary School pupils. This section lists and details events and projects run by the Department. 

Staff and students involved in Widening Access activities include:

  • The Widening Access team from the Public Relations and Communications Division
  • Widening Participation Officers from the University's Centre for Lifelong Learning
  • Academic staff and current students from a number of the University's twenty-eight Academic Schools
  • Students and officers from the University's Students'  Union
